A Visit From Nana, Papa, and Great Nana

Lots of stuff goin on around here. We enjoyed a visit from Nana, Papa, and Great Nana. Fiona showed of her adorable smiles and laughs, while Great Nana shared her famous Kit Kats with Claudia and Amelia.

Tuesday was Claudia's last day of pre-school. It'll be nice to not have to get the 4 of us up and out of the house for 9 Am 2 days a week. But I will miss Claudia and Amelia having a couple hours apart. Those 2 are getting crazier and crazier together the older Amelia gets. They really keep me on my toes. Some days I wish i had my kids 10 years apart and that they didn't want anything to do with each other.

Fiona had her 4 month appointment today. She's in the 75th percentile for both height and weight which are 24.5 inches and 14 pounds 9 ounces. She's 2 ounces heavier than Claudia was at 4 months and Claudia was a chunky baby! Fiona's really packin it on, considering she was born over 1 pound less than Claudia! Crazy! We put her in her exersaucer for the 1st time which she loved, and she'll get her first taste of solids on Friday. I love that 4 month mark because they're able to do so much more at that point. She's growing up so fast!

She was in awe of the sun.

Claudia writes her whole name. Complete with the infamous backward 'S'.

Mother's Day

Well this was my first Mother's Day as a Mom of 3. As a reward, I got my Mother's ring from my family which I love! I also got breakfast in bed, I worked out, enjoyed taking a nice, long bath, drank some Bud Light Lime, and ordered Olive Garden to go. It was a perfect day.

Miss Fiona can now roll from belly-to-back and back-to-belly. She practices her new moves in her crib at night and woke us up at 5Am this morning when she got stuck up against the side rail and got very frustrated. I was really looking forward to only having 2 out of 3 kids mobile, but it seems Fiona is working hard trying to keep up with her sisters. I will enjoy this last bit of peace while I can. I can't imagine what it will be like once I have 3 kids running around. I think I'll just keep tripping Fiona to discourage her from walking someday. ;)
Claudia's pride and joy: her sandtable.

Smelling my lilacs.
Crushing my lilacs. I don't even know why I'm going to plant annuals this year.
I think this is our 1st family pic. Although 2 are watching the TV and one is looking as another's back.
So I got brave and wanted my 1st ever pic of me with all 3 of my girls. It didn't go as I'd hoped...
Cue the Bud Light Lime...

3 Months Old!

I can't believe my little Fiona Rose is 3 month old already! I feel like I just found out I was pregnant with her, yet here she is 3 months old and growing so big. She's such a joy.

Claudia continues strutting herself with her brand new haircut. She's such a good girl and big helper around the house. She has only 7 school days left which I'm actually excited about. School mornings are crazy around here with trying to get all of us up and ready to leave the house by 8:30. She says she'd like to do gymnastics classes this summer.

Amelia is usually busy adding another injury to her reportoire. In the past week she's had 2 accidents that included bleeding from the mouth. She's slowly becoming a good helper as far as the baby goes. She likes to stuff the binky in the baby's mouth when the baby clearly doesn't want it and likes to wipe her mouth with the burp cloth.

I actually got some cute pics of all my girls together in 1 picture! The moon and starts must have alligned just right this day for this strange occurence to happen.

My friend let me borrow her Bumbo seat. Fiona warmed up to it quickly!

I think she looks just like Amelia in this pic!

Swaddle Me happy!

So, someone has stolen my awesome sleeper of a baby and left me with a cranky anti-napper. I've tried EVERYthing to get her to take a decent nap. I was at my wits end today and decided to do what I do for her at nighttime...swaddle her. 1.5 hours later, here I sit writing this post! Yay!!! I got my workout, soap opera, and a blog post in.

"They" say you should stop swaddling at around 3 months, so I'm not thrilled that I'm encouraging a bad habit. But you gotta go with what works, right? Now to hit the town and snatch up all large sized swaddling blankets available. :)

My napping little angel:

ETA: The swaddling nap lasted 3 glorious hours!!!

A new 'do

Be still my mother's beating heart, Claudia got her hair chopped. She looks so adorable! It was her 2nd haircut and I was surprised that she started crying when they called her name. She had to sit on my lap the whole time. The girl asked her how her hair grows so fast and she told her it grows while she sleeps. She also told the girl she'd like to be a big sister when she grows up...and a racecar driver. Though she doesn't know how to drive yet, as she pointed out.

For being such a good girl, we went and ordered Princess and the Frog to watch in 'Nana's bed' tonight. Gummy bears are in order, too.

It's been awhile!

So, it's been awhile! But having a new little life to document is motivation enough to keep up with this thing. Let's give this another go...

Claudia is now 4 and SO much fun. Her imagination just runs wild, which is both a good and a bad thing. The timing of having a new baby and Claudia claiming monsters were in her room in the middle of the night was not so good. She's finally out of Pull-ups at night, but still has the occassional accident. Needless to say, we're usually up in the middle of the night with 1 of our 3 children.

Amelia is growing into such a fun little girl. She loves wearing hats, sunglasses, jewelry, shoes, etc. She's my little girly girl and loves to dress-up in everything and anything. As much as she loves dressing up, though, she loves to undress when she goes to bed. We're one little exploration away from a big mess since she loves to take off her pants, but hasn't gotten the diaper off yet. She knows she gets in big trouble for this, so one morning I found her pants on inside out with the tag in front. Ummm, yeah. Totally busted!

Fiona is a dollbaby. Always smiling, talking, already laughing, and so much fun. She's very social so she's always happy just to be around us. She ADORES her big sisters, and their friends as well. She started sleeping through the night around 6 weeks old, thank God. She sleeps from 7:30-7:30 every night, but is the world's worst napper. This poses a big issue for me since I have many other things I need to get accomplished throughout the day. This too shall pass, I think. She's also painfully close to rolling over. I can't believe she's almost 3 months already and about to explode developmentally.
I've turned Claudia on to online shopping. I let her pick her Gymboree order and was so excited for it to magically appear on her doorstep and try it all on. Daddy's in trouble x 3.

Baby Einstein ain't just for babies.

Amelia= Binky patrol.

You have to be a good sport when you're the youngest of 3.

She has to hug all 6 of the arbor vites in the back of our yard everytime she goes outside.

My compromise to a sandbox.

About 20 seconds after this picture was taken, I picked Fiona up to burp her and she threw up all over the chair and ottoman. This is the last time Claudia ever gave Fiona a bottle.

Amelia's favorite thing to do to the baby. Poke her. Sometimes even in the eye.

It's a...

Well, it's been a long time, but I think I have news worthy of sharing.

Had our ultrasound today and found out we are having a very healthy, hyper-active little girl. 3 little shrieking girls running around. We'll understand if your visits to our house are short ones. :)
