...and a baby under the tree

We had a nice holiday weekend at the Scott house. It was not the year that we hosted my family so it was just our little family of 4 enjoying a kick-back kind of Turkey Day. The baby took a monster nap and slept through dinner so she didn't get to try any Thanksgiving food, but she's been having an assortment of real people food lately. Her favorite is probably pierogies! I was nervous about the cheese in them because we have come to learn our child is lactose intolerant. We've come to learn that through many puke fests following any encounter with dairy. :( So with things containing dairy, we basically have to go on a trial and error basis since she can handle little amounts. What fun to brace yourself for Operation Vomit all the time.
Ok, enough about vomit!!! Claudia helped us decorate the house and tree on Friday. I'm so in denial that she's old enough to actually help with a tradition like that and she's probably old enough to maybe even remember this Christmas. She also 'wrote' her letter to Santa. She's asked for a puppy, kitty, and bike. None of which she'll be receiving this Christmas. Some of which she'll NEVER receive.

The baby loves the decorations and tree. We've found her underneath the tree multiple times now and she stares down all the millions of wreaths around our house. I think she's intimidated by them so she keeps an eye on them at all times to make sure they're keeping their distance.

We're having a visit from our pregnant friends Matt and Mindy today. They've been referred down here to the hospital I delivered at to have an ultrasound. They're about 12 weeks now and are finally letting the cat completely out of the bag to everyone in the world: They are expecting TWINS! After 4 years of trying, they deserve at least 2!

Mailing her letter to Santa. The mailman who picked it up had a long, white beard so she thinks Santa drove the mail truck himself to pick up her letter. Ahh, kids.

Yummy fake evergreen!

A baby's eye view.

What a sweet little package to find under the tree. Looks like Amelia is enjoying the tree in every way. I swear Claudia's hair has grown a lot since a saw her a couple of weeks ago. She had fun helping to decorate the tree I see. They look adorable in their matching outfits. Kiss them for me.
Love, Nana

You have two of the cutest happiest little girls...love how they are always smiling and seem to be having such a good time. Love the letter to Santa - if he changes his mind and gives the OK for a puppy - we can help you out in that area. :) We could part with at least one of ours! Merry Christmas to your cuties!
